Walks & hikes
The Colibița area offers easy walking routes as well as longer day hikes, depending on each visitor’s experience.
Some suggested routes around the lake and in the Bârgău Mountains.
For safety, always check trail markers and weather before you go.
Walk around the lake
Easy route on local roads and paths around the lake. Approx. 2–3 hours at an easy pace.
Lake viewpoint
Moderate climb through the forest to a viewpoint from where you can see almost the entire lake.
Full-day route in the Bârgău Mountains
For experienced hikers: more elevation gain and some ridge sections. Recommended only with proper gear.
